Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Despite the increase in Covid-19 infections, the tourist cruise ” Ruby Princess ” arrived in Mazatlan this Monday, but with less than 50% occupancy.

The tourist ship from Cabo San Lucas entered port at 7:00 am with 1,093 passengers and 945 crew members, observing that few travelers made their descent.

On this occasion, the decrease in international visitors that could be observed in the Historic Center, the José María Pino Suárez municipal market, the Malecón, the Golden Zone, among other points of the port, was notorious.

At 6:00 p.m. he is scheduled to leave for Puerto Vallarta.

In the restart of the arrival of vessels in this pandemic, the cruise ships would arrive with an occupancy of 50% and strict sanitary protocols, but they were arriving with an average of 3,589 passengers and crew.

On December 21, this same ship arrived in Mazatlan with 1,441 passengers and 949 crew members, and this Monday it arrived with only 1,093, that is, 348 fewer passengers.

According to the schedule of the Comprehensive Port Administration of Mazatlán, the arrival of three more cruise ships is expected for this Wednesday, the “Koningsdamel”, “Carnival Panorama” and the “Majestic”.
