Mazatlan Sábalo-Cerritos street lights inaugurated

With this work, it will be sought to turn Sábalo – Cerritos avenue into one of the most important in the city.

MAZATLÁN.- The last of the year, one of the most important tourist areas of Mazatlán could not start 2022 in the dark. Starting today, Sábalo-Cerritos avenue will be fully illuminated.

This, thanks to the lighting of 130 top-level and tourist-looking lights that the municipality placed along the road, as reported by Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres.

He explained the importance of having an illuminated city, as this causes crimes such as robberies and assaults to decrease in percentage.

He expressed that the inauguration of this last work of the year is a sign that he has not allowed himself to work, and that the only objective is to make the port more beautiful than ever.

“Despite all the regrets and everything that we are going to face, we are not going to stop. Nobody is going to stop Mazatlán ”, he stressed.

The municipal president acknowledged that it is not easy to transform a city, especially when it is a tourist city, for which he thanked the businessmen Juan José Arellano Hernández, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo ARHE, and Carlos Berdegué, owner of the El Cid hotel chain. , who have joined the tourist beautification project of the port.

The resource

The total investment in the work was 50 million pesos, the council’s own resource. The lights were placed in the circuit that goes from the Paseo del Palmar Glorieta to the Torres Mazatlán Hotel Glorieta.

With this work, it will be sought to turn Sábalo – Cerritos avenue into one of the most important in the city.

Present at the presidium were the Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries of Mazatlán, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, the director of Municipal Welfare and Social Development, Tonatiuh Guerra Martínez and the landscaper Tonatiuh Martínez Maldonado, who collaborated in the project.
