Muddy water is affecting the filters, so they need to be cleaned.
MAZATLÁN- Today, Wednesday, December 29, Jumapam will carry out interconnection works at the “Los Horcones” Water Treatment Plant, which will serve to drain sludge and solids from the plant caused by the turbidity of the water that has been two months receives from the Picachos Dam.
This maintenance work, which will last around 5 hours, will cause a general impact on the drinking water supply in the city. The work schedule is from 5:00 to 10:00 in the morning.
Engineer Arturo Valverde, in charge of the Operations Management of the Municipal Board of Drinking Water and Sewerage, mentioned that it is very likely that a lower water pressure than usual will be noticed in homes, especially in the upper parts of the city of Mazatlán.
For this reason, Jumapam asks citizens for their understanding, since the plant is currently working at 300% of its capacity, derived from the problems with the color and turbidity of the water.
