Mazatlan police perform 165 breathalyzer tests on Christmas weekend leading to arrest of drunk drivers

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- As part of this weekend’s operation, the Ministry of Public Security and Municipal Traffic reported in a press release that 165 tests were carried out on the breathalyzer from December 24 to 26, of which 33 were applied. in women and 132 in men, in different parts of the city.

Jorge Samuel Alvarado Illustrious, deputy director of Municipal Transit, said that 13 men and one woman were arrested in these measurements of the degree of alcohol in the blood of the people.

He highlighted that 82 other drivers were found to have alcoholic breath; 10 vehicles were released in the place to relatives, and four vehicles were transferred to the Municipal Pension.

Five vehicles detained were foreigners and the age range of the participants in the tests was 29 to 58 years.

This program is carried out in the city with the aim of reducing road accidents and the death of people, where driving while intoxicated is a determining factor in them.
