The President of AMPI mentions that the development of this sector will continue in Mazatlán throughout the following year, with affordable housing, residential and condominium towers.

MAZATLAN. – The real estate ‘boom’ is stronger than ever for Mazatlán, by 2022 there are estimated to be over 15 developments, including homes, condominiums, and apartments, thus taking the destination to the next level of economic development and competitiveness.

Roberto Carlos Arellano Osorio, president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals, mentioned that both 2021 and 2022 are giving certainty of the growth of Mazatlán, hand in hand with everything that is coming in the industrial and tourist field.

“We have a projection above 15 developments in 2022, more than those that are being generated right now, we have 120 developments. We are confident that the developers of my association are believing that Mazatlán in the 2022 will be important for growth ”, he said.

What about inflation?

Arellano Osorio explained that in the real estate and construction industry, inflation is always a factor that is considered when preparing investment projects, however, they do estimate an increase in inputs, and, therefore, an increase in some homes.

“We believe that they are going to rise, but we do not believe that it is a percentage that affects the economy of the citizen,” he declared.

The president of Ampi pointed out that the inputs do come with a strong rise, especially cement, aggregates, and all the material derived from construction, and although he did consider that it will affect, investments always work with protection.
