Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Because Sinaloa is once again on alert for the two new suspected cases of the new Omicron variant, the Mayor’s Office is reinforcing the sanitary protocols in bars, restaurants, and nightclubs, to prevent new active cases of COVID in Mazatlán, said Nayla Adilene Velarde Narváez.

And proof of this, he said, is that over the weekend six sanctions were applied to bars, restaurants, and nightclubs, and the police proceeded to suspend two parties for blocking the road and exceeding the decibels of music allowed.

“The government anticipated the issue of the new Omicron variant in the sense that we are inspecting all the protocols in the establishments, such as which ones; clubs, bars, restaurants, and also in the event rooms from the entrances, the filters, the sanitizing mats, the use of antibacterial gel, taking the temperature ”, he explained.

The official asserted that the Mayor’s Office is on the lookout for businesses to comply with health protocols, respect capacity and avoid crowds, as preventive actions against the pandemic.

In fact, through the Mztourist APP, citizens can verify the capacity in which the restaurants, bars, and nightclubs of the tourist destination are located.
