Sanitary measures are reinforced in bars, clubs, and nightclubs in Mazatlán due to the possible presence of a case of Ómicron in the state of Sinaloa.

Mazatlán, Sin.- Given the possible presence of a case of Ómicron in the state of Sinaloa, the Mazatlán City Council has already agreed with owners of clubs, bars and nightclubs to toughen health protocols against Covid-19.

The Senior Officer, Nayla Velarde Narváez, reported that they had found some observations in the protocols, in which some bars and clubs had lowered their guard and were relaxed.

Some bars, clubs and restaurants had lowered their guard, they were a bit relaxed and just now we had a meeting that the mayor asked us to have a dialogue with these sectors, to ask them to reinforce the sanitary measures and to be 100 again with all the issues of the protocols … ”, he expressed.

There is a willingness on the part of the businessmen, added the municipal official, with whom they will work with a heavy hand, but also with great efforts.

“ Continue supporting the port, continue being the number one tourist destination in Mexico and continue supporting the pandemic; Let us remember here that our mayor instructed all sectors to be able to be in a high way on the issue of the pandemic, and we were a safe port and tourist destination ”.

Velarde Narváez said that the revisions to these turns will be in three stages. The first, with the notice of the observations that must be resolved, if in the second visit the failures in the sanitary protocols persist, a fine will be applied according to the factors that are not complying and if there is a repeat offense, they could reach the closure of the business.

The capacity allowed in these businesses is 75 percent.
