Anthony Muñoz is considered to be one of the greatest offensive linemen in the history of the National Football League. He shares Mexican roots despite the fact that he grew up in Ontario, California. That’s why NFL puts him on the top of their list of best Mexican-American athletes in the history of the league.

At a young age Muñoz started to show love for football playing for the University of Southern California for three years, after being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round in 1980.

He spent most of his career playing for the Cincinnati Bengals (12 years) after moving for one season to Tampa Bay Buccaneers after he retired.

Thomas Jesse Fears is another NFL star born in Guadalajara, Mexico, with a successful career in the NFL. He was an American football split end playing for the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL for nine seasons. Throughout his career, he managed to get his hands on the championship trophy three times and was picked to be the first-team All-Pro back in 1950.

After he retired from American Football as a player, he started his journey as an NFL assistant coach and later head coach of the New Orleans Saints. His beginnings date back to the UCLA Bruins football team and he is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Even at a young age, Isaac achieved great things such as leading the Mexican national team to the bronze medal at the Under-19 World Championship and getting the CONADEIP All-Stars in 2019.

He had a rather successful career as a player, becoming the first Mexican starting quarterback that managed to win a Super Bowl.

After he retired from playing football, his love for the sport didn’t go away as he pursued a career as a coach in the NFL. He started as a quarterback coach for the Buffalo Bills after moving to Oakland Raiders as a wide receiver coach.

Tom Flores proved that he was not just a talented player, but also a very good coach. He managed to win three Super Bowl championships one as an assistant coach, and two as head coach.
