November is not over yet and the destination has already left other sun and beach destinations behind in terms of hotel occupancy, just in a month, imagine how it will get at the end of the year.
MAZATLAN. – The “Pearl of the Pacific” does it again, the investment and tourism agency Amadeus has already revealed the occupancy percentages for the month of November, placing, indeed, keeping Mazatlán at the head above the other beach destinations that you and I already know.
The agency reported that Mazatlán leads the list in the average occupancy for November with 57 percent occupancy, above Los Cabos, which is in second place with 43 percent, followed by Cancun, registering 42 percent occupancy.
Puerto Vallarta registered 41 percent of the occupation in the middle of this month and cities such as Mérida and Mexico City, reported 34 and 33 percent, being the two cities within this sector that increased their mobility.
Amadeus is a technology service provider company for the tourism industry, which performs this same measurement month after month, in fact, last October, Mazatlán also led the list as the best beach destination, above Huatulco, Cancun, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and Mérida.
During the first semester of 2021, the Council for the Economic Development of Sinaloa reported that, in this period, Mazatlán managed to concentrate 1 million 974 thousand 363 tourists, managing to exceed 2020, which registered 1 million 269 thousand 209 tourists.
We will continue saying it, nobody stops Mazatlan, so do those who know, estimating that by the end of the year the occupations will manifest at their maximum allowed capacity, auguring a better 2022 for this destination.
According to DataTur monitoring, Mazatlán tops the list, reaching 69 percent occupancy in its 9,750 average available rooms in the month of May, 8 percentage points more than in the same month of 2019. Other destinations have not yet exceeded the levels “Pre-pandemic” but they are getting closer, they are Los Cabos, Cozumel, and Acapulco.
