Councilors meet with representatives of social organizations from Russia and Greece

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- On behalf of the municipal government, members of the Cabildo welcomed this Wednesday representatives of citizen organizations of Greece and Russia, who are in the city to learn more about it and exchange a message of friendship.

According to information provided by the City Council, the councilor Rocío Georgina Quintana Pucheta, coordinator of the Human Rights and Social and Cultural Action Commissions in the Mazatlan Cabildo, led the delegation.

Quintana Pucheta stressed that this type of approach with foreign organizations will allow the landing of cultural exchange projects, as well as promoting the projection of this city as a tourist destination.

He mentioned that it was very favorable to hear from foreign guests, that Mazatlán is far from what is little known in Europe, since here they found a beautiful city, with great cultural attractions and a warm and friendly society.

He indicated that he will once again meet with the delegation that belongs to the International Gnostic Movement AC, since the possibility of establishing a twinning between Mazatlan and Greece was opened, as well as the participation of this municipality in a cultural festival where 50 countries will participate next year.

“With this, Mazatlán will be placed in the world eye of art and culture and will give it a very favorable tourist projection. This type of exchange will lead us to Mazatlán to establish a cultural, educational, and brotherhood relationship with countries such as Greece and Russia, “he added.

Among the visitors are Igor Kondrashin, President of the World Philosophy Forum and Secretary-General of the Supreme Chancellery of the Universal State of the Earth; Oiannis Maronitis, President and CEO of the NGO International Action Art., And President of the Unescu Club of Piraeus and the Greek Islands; Sergev Ivaneev, President of the Association of Citizens of the XXI Century for the Development of Secularism and Humanism, and member of the Public Council of the Agency for Ethnic Affairs (FADN of Russia); Irina Bondar, Ambassador of the World Forum of Philosophy of the Russian Federation, Assistant to the Supreme Council of Humanity, and Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts; as well as Anna Golovinskaya, representative of the Women’s Assembly of the Russian Parliamentary Club in Greece,
