Cowboys from Mexico and around the world compete in Aguascalientes at the National Charro Championship

It should be noted that within the framework of the National Charro Congress and Championship, the Agroalimentaria Expo was installed on San Marcos Island with more than 80 local suppliers in the ten pavilions of the complex. Similarly, the Illusion on Ice show received more than 50 thousand spectators in its 30 presentations. 

Those attending the events were pleasantly pleased, as 99.3% of the visitors commented that they would recommend visiting Aguascalientes and this type of activity. 

Who were the winners of the National Charro Championship?

In the Teams category, first place went to Rancho el Quevedeño de Nayarit . In the category of Complete Charros, the award was received by José Andrés Aceves, from Nayarit; while the prize to the winning Skirmish team was awarded to Soles del Desierto de Chihuahua. All those recognized received the award from the governor of Aguascalientes, Martín Orozco Sandoval.

The president himself unanimously received the Herradura de Oro award given by the Mexican Federation of Charrería for his support and promotion of this Mexican sport, the highest award given by this sports association. 

Orozco Sandoval thanked this Federation for placing its trust in Aguascalientes for the holding of this meeting, which was a success thanks to the conditions of security, social peace, and first-rate infrastructure such as the San Marcos Arena.

The Governor revealed that Aguascalientes will continue to seek to host sporting, cultural and entertainment events to benefit all economic sectors by attracting tourists and visitors from Mexico and other parts of the world.

In addition, he congratulated the 144 teams, 112 skirmishes, and 16 complete charros that participated from all the entities of Mexico and other countries, who adorned the canvas and showed their talent.
