Some of the projects are already 90% complete and have not paid fees or feasibility

MAZATLÁN.- Jumapam suspended the supply of drinking water to a dozen residential projects for not complying with the payment of connection fees or feasibility, this with the aim of ordering the users of the services, the commercial manager reported in a statement. of the paramunicipal, Abraham Alfonso Ávalos Osuna.

The official said that this operation has as its primary purpose the ordering of users in the short and medium-term.

These are, he added, developments that Jumapam has been visiting to remind them of their duties, some with up to six visits, in which they talk with builders and administrators.

“Some have approached, we have even made payment agreements, but most ignore, all are aware, what they do not want is to pay and that is a risk for future buyers,” he said.

Among the affected projects are the Imperia, Bio, Coto Premier, Marengo Hábitat, and Cerro towers, some wineries and shopping malls, which are located in different parts of the city, which are in the commercialization stage.

What is most worrisome is that these real estate projects are apartment towers and residential preserves, that when they are managed by the condominium owners, all debts that the development has will pass to them and their payment will be prorated among all residents or owners, as already It has happened in various cases, where the developer omits his duties.

Ávalos Osuna said that Jumapam is in the best disposition to attend to each project individually and to negotiate the payment of the debts, with the intention that everyone has their drinking water and drainage services in order.

He stressed that the most worrying thing is that these are real estate projects such as apartment towers and residential preserves, which, when they are managed by the condominium owners, all debts that the development has will pass to them and their payment will be prorated among all the condominium owners, as has already happened in various cases, where the developer omits his duties.
