Tourist on an ATV is run over by train and loses a leg in Mazatlán

The accident was reported to the emergency center at 6:30 p.m. this Saturday, at La Escopama Beach, in the area known as El Nuevo Mazatlán.

MAZATLÁN._ A tourist suffered the amputation of his leg, after being run over by the train when he was traveling aboard an ATV, in Mazatlán.


The tourist aboard the ATV was circulating along the side of the train track, when suddenly it lost control and was run over by the moving wagons along with his unit.


The accident was reported to the emergency center at 6:30 p.m. this Saturday, at La Escopama Beach, in the area known as El Nuevo Mazatlán.


The young tourist suffered the amputation of his left leg at the knee, received first aid from Elements of the Aquatic Rescue Squad and was transferred to the General Hospital by Veteran Firefighters Paramedics. Municipal Traffic Police were in charge of the accident assessment
