Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The director of the Association of Hotels and Tourism Companies of Mazatlán, Julio Birrueta, announced that this 2021 they will close with more arrivals of tourism than in 2019, which was 3.2 million visitors.

“As a destination, we are going to close the year 2021 with a little more tourists than we had in 2019, we are talking about 3.2 million visitors throughout the year and with what is contemplated between now and December of arrival at hotels, we are going to reach and exceed that figure ”, he specified.

The hotel entrepreneur acknowledged that exceeding this number of visitors speaks of having worked well in everything that corresponds to them as tourism promoters.

“We would save like 80 percent because in fact, due to the saturation of hotels, we already have problems finding staff, we are already struggling, we are promoting in the towns, in other types of companies, there is a lot of demand and fortunately it is having a favorable impact on employment”, he acknowledged.

Regarding hotel reservations for this month of December, he reported that it should be approximately 35 percent, a little down compared to November, but 2019, because Canada has become a lot of last-minute reservations, but finally reserve.

Julio Birrueta, said that the capacity allowed for hotels is currently 80 percent, however, it is expected that the fourth wave of Covid19 will not happen in November, so that in December the capacity is allowed in its entirety, given that this month all tourism is coming.
