The president of the Golden Zone Merchants Association, Julio Silva Osorio, assured that with the green traffic light the capacity increased to 75% in the establishments.

In addition, he admitted that in the last wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, which hit young people, it sent activity in restaurants, clubs and bars to the canvas, especially those that operate all night and that despite having raised sales are still not 100% recovered.

“There is an improvement, we have advanced, from what we previously perceived today, we are already exceeding 60% of sales, we were on the ground with 20% and now we are at 60%,” he said.

Silva Osorio acknowledged that what has influenced to reactivate commercial activity and consumption in bars and restaurants are tourists who arrive at hotels and those who arrive on cruise ships, who move through the tourist areas of the port and make various purchases. , eat and drink in business.

He trusted that this rebound in sales will continue until the end of the year, since the arrival of foreign tourism for the winter season has greatly influenced the reactivation of the Golden Zone.
