Mazatlan hotels anticipate high occupancy due to the long holiday weekend

The establishments on Avenida Del Mar estimate a demand higher than 66% from Friday to Monday

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Hotel occupancy in Mazatlán will register levels higher than 66% in the accommodation establishments on Del Mar Avenue, due to this weekend’s mega-bridge.

The president of the Tres Islas Hotels Association, José Ramón Manguart Sánchez, said that there is a lot of demand for reservations.

” We are going to have a good occupation, we are going to walk between 64 and 66%, it could even increase because there is a school mega-bridge and it is tied with a sporting event and Day of the Dead, ” he said.

He explained that it will be from Friday when the occupancy in hotels increases and the exodus of tourists is expected on Monday and Tuesday.

Manguart Sánchez commented that most of the tourists will come from Chihuahua, Nuevo León, Coahuila, Durango, Sinaloa, Nayarit and Jalisco.

He expressed that the destination continues to register high demand on weekends despite the hybrid return to classes and from here to the rest of the year they will remain at least 60%.

He stressed that the three main attractions are the beaches, the Malecón and the gastronomy, which are the anchor factor towards the destination, where 95% of the tourists are national highway.

” The air issue has been complicated even when Mazatlan has a recovery and to the extent that we can sustain the green traffic light, it will gain confidence so that people are encouraged to travel the plane, ” he concluded.
