Governors Quirino Ordaz Coppel and Rubén Rocha Moya, constitutional and elected respectively, inaugurated this morning the new stage of construction on Delfín Avenue that will connect to Mario Huerta Avenue, towards Cerritos. The investment will be 200 million pesos.
At the event, which was also attended by the mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, the governor Ordaz Coppel, after recognizing the importance of this work for further development and tourism growth in the city, had words of appreciation for Rocha Moya, who As the new governor, he will continue to support Mazatlán.
He even said that Rocha Moya is invited to the inauguration next Friday of Gabriel Leyva Avenue, which will also give a greater boost to the Mazatlan port.
The new stage of Delfín Avenue will be almost two kilometers long and the construction will be in charge of the Secretary of the Navy, through the Integral Port Administration (API). The governor of the state, and mentioned that this Delfín avenue was highly desired for many years and not only will it be a good alternative to vent vehicle traffic in the Marina area, but it will also generate development, jobs and an increase in the added value of the properties.
Delfín Avenue will measure 1,803 meters in length, and will consist of six lanes, a bicycle lane, a 21-meter bridge, and its construction will start from Atlántico Avenue and will connect to the Chulavista neighborhood, becoming an access road that did not exist for this sector towards the Marina area.
In his speech, the governor-elect, Rubén Rocha Moya, made a public recognition of the work of Quirino Ordaz Coppel. “I recognize that there is a very important job in Mazatlán and throughout Sinaloa on the part of Governor Quirino,” he said.
Also at this event, Rocha Moya spoke that Mazatlán will be one of the main cities benefiting from the Urban Improvement Program of the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
