Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel and Mayor Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres took a tour of the construction of the New International Aquarium of Mazatlán, to verify the important advances that the work that comes to add to the tourist attractions takes of the port.

Inside an imposing room inside the aquarium, the Chemist highlighted the work and dedication of the state leader to rescue Mazatlán, and made an allusion to the Plaza de Toros México, where tonight Quirino Ordaz Coppel would appear on his shoulders after having “cut ears and tail ”.


He called the Mazatlecos to be proud of their city.


“I am very proud of the work they have done in this place and that together with the avenue (Quirino Ordaz Coppel), with the Central Park, we are going to have a dream place for Mazatlan people and tourists; We are going to be proud of Mazatlán, we are already proud, but many more because this does not stop here, there are great transformative projects that the Governor knows ”.

For his part, Ordaz Coppel assured that the Mayor of Mazatlán has been the promoter and promoter of the New Aquarium, and thanks to the work they have carried out together, this project is becoming a reality to the delight of Mazatlan and tourists.


“We have been in charge of the governments in this important stage, and I think that if it had not started when it started, it would hardly be possible to start right now because right now there are not the resources that there were then. Tell me, who is going to give you 600 million pesos from the Government right now to develop a project, then I think that is the enormous value ”.


At the event, it was reported that the construction of the New Mazatlán International Aquarium, a world-class project, is being collaborated by companies from countries such as Mexico, Canada, the United States, Turkey, France, Japan and Denmark.

As a testimony to the effort made by the Government of Sinaloa of Quirino Ordaz Coppel for the construction of the Sea of ​​Cortez Aquarium, a commemorative plaque was unveiled in the main hall of the marine show venue in Mazatlán.

The event was held on the afternoon of this Friday, October 22, in the area of ​​the “weeping walls”, a site that is known for the water that flows in these walls, which draws the attention of the attendance. 

José Luis Mogollón, President of the Administration of Kingu Mexicana, acknowledged that it has been a great effort to carry out the work in the midst of a pandemic that failed to stop them.

As a challenge, he described the work carried out by more than 500 workers, all of Mexican origin, to build a great work, which brings together at least 5 countries with regard to its infrastructure.

The Municipal President of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, recognized the work done by the Governor, who before the event was present at the unveiling of a plaque, announcing the change of name of Bahía Avenue to Quirino Ordaz Coppel.  

He said he was proud of the work that has been done in the construction of the marine entertainment venue, which together with the avenue and Central Park will have a dream place for Mazatlan people and tourists
