Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- For this week the arrival of two tourist cruises to Mazatlán is scheduled, with more than 9 thousand passengers and crew on board, which will leave an important economic spill in the destination, since each one spends 85 dollars.

For this Tuesday the Majestic Princess ship will arrive with four thousand passengers and one thousand crew members on board and on Wednesday the Carnival Panorama will arrive, with more than four thousand occupants.

The municipal secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, Luis Terán Tirado, confirmed that three cruises would arrive this week, but one was canceled.

“ The cruise is called Princess Majestic, it brings a thousand crew members and 4 thousand passengers, the ship is at 60% of its capacity. Yes, a third party was coming, but he canceled, we hope that he will arrive for the following week, ”he said.

Terán Tirado stated that with the arrival of these vessels, the demand for tourist services in the city and rural areas of Mazatlán will reactivate.

He pointed out that the walks to the rural area have been gradually reactivated, especially for Concordia and La Noria, however, they hope that the possibility of visiting El Quelite will soon be expanded.

” The reactivations to rural areas have been to Concordia, Copala, La Noria, Picachos Dam, Veranos and the issue of El Quelite by the river still stopped a little, but I think that in 15 days it will be reactivated, ” he said.
