Locals and tourists are sheltering in the three different shelters enabled by the DIF Mazatlán

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Due to the first effects of the tropical storm “Pamela”, families from Mazatlán went to the shelters set up to take refuge from the rains and floods.

Gabriela Peña Chico, president of DIF Mazatlán, made a visit to supervise the shelters in the urban area of ​​the port.

“I decided to go out and supervise each of the shelters that DIF Mazatlán has to listen to the requests of the people who are arriving at the shelters at this time. They are all very well, they do not present any special requests; All the shelters have medical services, their food and clothes, ”he commented.

There are a total of 23 people who went to the paramunicipal shelters, among whom are 16 tourists at the Convention Center and another six people at the Centro Cultural de Occidente. So far, only one person has come to the Villa Unión shelter.
