Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- With the intention of preventing a disaster such as the one that occurred with Tropical Storm ‘Nora’, Jumapam already has an action plan and thus again avoids saturation in the channels that feed the water treatment plants, reported the General Manager of the paramunicipal, Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez.

The head of the Municipal Board of Drinking Water and Sewerage of Mazatlán recognized that the meteorological phenomenon ‘Pamela’, with the potential to be a category 3 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale, is different from Tropical Storm ‘Nora’, which is why they decided As an emergent plan, close the gates of the Siqueros plant and thus avoid an overload of water in the canals.
