Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Cristian Castillo López, in charge of Protocols and Health of the municipal government, together with the head of Mazatlán Civil Protection, Eloy Ruiz Gastelum, confirmed that seniors who worked as baggers in stores will be able to return to the activity.

Since the threat of contagion by Covid-19 had vulnerable sectors under surveillance, the elderly were removed from their work functions until sanitary conditions allowed, applying the case even for those who worked as store baggers.

“Now, you can, in fact, what we want is to make it official through a meeting with the representatives of the commercial stores to explain to them how and now they can implement them,” said Castillo López.

The official explained that before receiving the workers in their areas, it will be necessary to hold a meeting with the owners and representatives of each self-service store, to detail the sanitary protocols and avoid any type of contagion.

“But once they have the protocol, they know how to apply it, we go and supervise them and they can start working, it can be at any time,” he added.

“I believe that next week we already have a meeting with them, they already went and asked the mayor to return and if, he kindly said ‘give me a protocol’, we have already made the protocol so that they are well cared for, above all,” he concluded.
