After the death of a tourist last June due to heatstroke, the Mazatlán Lighthouse has taken precautionary measures against the weather so that situations like this do not reappear.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The Operational Director of the Mazatlán Lighthouse, Francisco Chávez, mentioned that from time to time incidents occur in the Cerro del Crestó, such as heat stroke and low pressure, for which they have a paramedic who is responsible for providing people with adequate care.

Tourists from different parts of the country visit this attractive place daily to enjoy the views it offers, although there are also locals who come to do their exercise routine in the mornings.

Due to the high temperatures that occur in the port on some days, they are forced to close their doors from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. when the thermal sensation is 38 ° Celsius onwards, this in order to avoid that people are affected by heat.

It is recommended to wear the appropriate clothing for the weather and stay hydrated when doing physical activity, the place is also friendly with pets and they are welcome as long as they are on a leash.
