Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Personnel from Parks and Gardens, as well as from the Municipal Public Security Secretariat, in coordination with the Social Welfare Directorate, carry out the cleaning of educational facilities in Mazatlán.

Tonatiuh Guerra Martínez, director of Social Welfare, said that this week the cleaning of the Multiple Attention Center 25 was carried out, as well as the “Cruz Lizárraga” Primary School, in addition to the “Luz María Serradel” kindergartens, “ New Creation Santa Teresa ”and“ Urbi Villas ”.

“The Directorate of Social Welfare as the body in charge of the relationship with the educational sector, we saw ourselves in the need, together with the Secretariat of Public Security, Parks and Gardens, and some other directions to carry out the cleaning of these schools, despite the fact that it is not an obligation of the municipality to maintain school facilities, which is a responsibility of the educational authorities ”, he explained.

Guerra Martínez added that the cleaning work will continue over the next few days, based on a list of schools that sought support months ago.

With the support of 102 cadets from the police academy and preventive elements, the pruning and removal of weeds from the Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Sinaloa 38, and the cleaning of the Federal Secondary School 1 “Guillermo Prieto” was carried out, under the supervision of the Secretary of Public Security, Juan Ramón Alfaro Gaxiola.
