Mazatlan public works seek additional resources to repair traffic lights

The municipal official acknowledged that regarding the traffic lights in the Golden Zone, most of which are out of service, his staff does not have the training to attend them.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Faced with the recurrent failure in the traffic light service, the director of the Municipal Public Services of Mazatlán, Miguel Luis Morales Lizárraga, said that an additional resource is being sought for its repair and maintenance.

“Right now we are on the way to obtain an additional resource but it is a matter of authorizing that budget, which is estimated between 200 and 300 thousand pesos, to be able to face them,” he said.

Morales Lizárraga said that they are also looking to be trained to be able to repair even those with a new system or with more technology and not be inclined to a single part.

He commented that as for the traffic lights that correspond to the municipality, there are two or three that have faults, but those that are in charge of the State Government, said he does not know how many there are because specialized personnel are responsible for their maintenance.

“We are knocking on doors to be able to reach them (government personnel) and have the training and be able to work as a team,” he added.
