From October 1 to December 17, the Government of Mazatlán headed by Mayor Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres through the Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art directed by José Ángel Tostado Quevedo will present the Mazatlán Cultural Festival 2021, a large artistic programming of more than 40 activities with which citizens will once again enjoy live events, under strict prevention, health and healthy distance measures.

Music, ballet, theater, dance, literature, plastic arts, cinema, singing and more will reach spaces such as the Angela Peralta Theater, Casa Haas, the Historic Center, public libraries, and different syndicates and police stations, all this was announced in a round press led by José Ángel Tostado Quevedo Director of Culture together with teacher Zoila Fernández Artistic Director, Irving Campos Director of Logistics and Protocol, and Marco Antonio Corona Director of the Municipal Center of Arts.

The great events of the festival begin on October 1 with the Function “The awakening of the arts” under the stellar presentation of the Compañía Ballet de Mazatlán under the direction of maestro Guillermo Carrillo. Adding to the great events of the month of October are the opera “Elixir de amor”; the exhibition “Uniting borders”; the concert “Amorcito Corazón, tribute to the great idol of Mexico”; in addition to the expected 2021 Mazatlán Scene Theater Festival that will take place from October 04 to 08.

The programming for the month of November will begin with the traditional celebration of the Day of the Dead “Metamorphosis, myths and legends”, which will take place on the 2nd of this month. “Painting that moves” by Compañía Delfos; “Xth Anniversary Gala” of the Mazatlán Ballet Company; “Concert ballad and tango” by Esteban Baltazar; “Gala, dinner and auction” by the Uniendo Fronteras Foundation; and the dance show “Let me bury me with the band” by the Folklore Company will be among the major events in November.

The month of December brings together the most anticipated shows by Mazatlan such as “The Nutcracker”, “On the lights” and the traditional “Christmas Gala”.

Nurturing the Festival’s billboard in its 2021 edition, the programs “Literary Thursdays” and “Sábados de syndicatures” were integrated completely free events that will take place in public spaces and that will reach different syndicates and curators such as Siqueiros, El Roble, Villa Unión, La Amapa, El Quelite, Habal, Walamo, La Noria, El Recodo, La Isla de la Piedra and Puerta de Canoa

During the presentation of the Festival in the artistic part, the Delfos Company, the Mazatlán Ballet Company, the pianist Juan Pablo García and the singer Sara Holcombe gave a small sample of the great talent and quality shows that are expected within the program.

The Mazatlán Cultural Festival has become the most important artistic forum in the Port, due to its combination of events and high-quality shows that promote each and every one of the fine arts and that distinguishes Mazatlán among the main cultural destinations of the Northwest. from the country.
