Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Faced with the urgency of restoring the supply of drinking water that Mazatlán is demanding, Jumapam and Conagua are working in coordination to install a 20-inch pipeline that allows the water from the dikes to be conducted to the Los Horcones water treatment plant and repair the canal that were broken by the recent torrential rains completes.
“We are going to put in three 20-inch pipes, which are going to be made 60 inches in diameter so that they carry all that is water through the canal and then it will be repaired (the canal),” explained engineer Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez, general manager of the paramunicipal.
The official met at the site of the rupture with the director of Drinking Water, Drainage and Sanitation of the North Pacific Basin of Conagua, the engineer Citlali Elizabeth Peraza Camacho, and explained that when both agencies collaborate, they join forces so that this problem is resolved as soon as possible.
