Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres carried out a supervision tour of the damage caused by hurricane ‘Nora’ in the towns of Cofradía, El Arenal and Porras.

Accompanied by Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel, the Municipal President listened to the suggestions and requests of the inhabitants of the aforementioned settlements, who simultaneously requested the support of the municipal and state governments.

During the tour of the Brotherhood, the mayor visited the home of Mrs. Míriam Gárate, which collapsed due to the excess rainwater left by the meteor.

Before the media, the Mayor requested the support of the Mazatlan businessmen, who may join through financial and in-kind donations, in order to benefit those affected by “Nora.”

“We are going to cooperate, it is time to show solidarity with the Governor and the Municipal President, it can be in kind or in money,” he said.

Benítez Torres stressed that the needs of the Mazatlan people will be met in a timely manner.
