Sinaloa.- An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 on the Richter scale, according to the National Seismological Service, was registered tonight in northern Sinaloa, mostly in the city of Los Mochis and nearby areas.

The movement covered a large part of the northern area since it is reported that residents of El Fuerte, Guasave among others, also felt the earthquake from one minute to 9:00 at night. 

According to the first technical sheet issued by the National Seismological Service, the earthquake was 4.8 degrees, with an epicenter 44 kilometers east of El Fuerte, but later it was updated to 4.7 degrees 74 km southwest of the city of Los Mochis. . 

Some indicated that the strongest earthquake followed a milder one that was perceived, and that some were given time to leave their homes alert to the situation that tensed the inhabitants of these areas for more than 30 seconds.

“I was on the top floor and I felt the holm world was coming to me”; “I started to see how the lamp and the fan moved, it felt horrible”; “The dogs began to bark, I thought it was because they felt that I was getting off the car, but when I touched the ground, I felt that I was moving everywhere,” said residents.
