The 43 cruises that were initially confirmed for the remainder of the year, became “intentions”, this as a result of the changes that have arisen in the shipping companies and the same uncertainty that exists in this regard.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Óscar Pérez Barros, Secretary of Tourism of the State, explained that the change of dates in the arrival of cruise ships could be due to the uncertainty that exists around reactivating that sector.

The arrival of ‘Panorama’, the largest cruise ship on the Carnival line, will be delayed by one day as it passes through Mazatlán due to “technical issues”, which as a ‘domino effect, it will not yet be possible to confirm the arrival of a specific number of cruise ships at the port.

“It moved one day for technical reasons, but as I already mentioned to you due to the same uncertainty about the return of the cruise ships, we will be seeing this type of change of dates, but the positive thing is that the cruise returns; arrives, touches Los Cabos and Mazatlán “

The 43 cruises that were initially confirmed for the remainder of the year, became “intentions”, this as a result of the changes that have arisen in the shipping companies and the same uncertainty that exists in this regard.

“Yes, there are intentions, there is talk of 43 intentions that are in the itinerary, I cannot confirm that, the API can confirm it and it is very risky to confirm it because there will be many changes, hopefully from this Wednesday that it will return. the Panorama, the largest of the Carnival line, will return ”, said the state official.

However, Pérez Barros trusted that the announcement and arrival of cruise ships to Mazatlán will be beneficial for the port’s economy, highlighting that the new image of the port will make a good impression.

“The arrival of this cruise will be important, I am sure that the experience that the cruise passengers will have will be very positive because they will see another side of Mazatlan,” he concluded.
