Mazatlan will surprise cruise ship passengers with a rejuvenated city

The arrival of the Carnival to Mazatlán this week opens up good hope for these services to be reactivated in the coming months for tourist destinations

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The arrival of the Panorama Carnival cruise ship to Mazatlán, scheduled for this week, after the worldwide suspension of this service to tourist destinations, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, represents an important moment for the economic reactivation, but also that something good has been done in Sinaloa, said Óscar Pérez Barros. 

 

The Secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa pointed out that this ship will only dock at two destinations in the Mexican Pacific, hence the importance that Mazatlán is being considered, more because, in the midst of this pandemic, when the activity is reactivated, all the sanitary regulations put in place march have been an example at the national level. 

“I think the return is due to everything that has been done in Mazatlán, we must remember that Sinaloa was the first state to reopen the tourism sector with protocols with one hundred percent of the accommodation centers in the consumption centers, we put the example in many aspects, I think that has led us to be taken into account, we must remember that this cruise just the whole of Los Cabos and Mazatlán, I think something has been done well ”. 

The state official pointed out that this visit by a tourist’s vessel should leave a lesson for everyone, and that it be the beginning of the cruise season, but it is premature to talk about numbers of how many could be arriving in the future. 

Pérez Barros said that the cruise passengers who will arrive in this boat this week will also find a Mazatlán with a rejuvenated face since many tourist spots have been remodeled during this pandemic downtime was used to rebuild and remodel.
