Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- This August 24, the Carnival Panorama cruise ship will arrive in Mazatlan, with 5 thousand passengers on board and in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, for which the authorities of the three levels of government and tour operators are preparing the logistics and tours in the city and abroad.

Eloy Ruiz Gastélum, Civil Protection coordinator, assured that with the arrival of the first ship of the season and the descent of foreign tourists to the port, it is important that they are aware of and understand the restrictions and protocols that the city has.

” We understand that this economic reactivation is very valuable and very useful, but we must add efforts both shipping companies, service providers in general and we as citizens and above all as the Government, ” he said.

In a meeting that took place this Thursday in the Cabildo room, representatives of tourism operating companies requested the support of Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, to offer cruise passengers a safe and full stay in Mazatlán.

In view of this, Public Security, Municipal Transit, and CAPTA undertook to guard and park truck parking areas in the city center, and with surveillance with the support of the National Guard, in tours of the rural area.

In the Golden Zone, Jumapam and Public Works agreed to allow access only to trucks with foreign tourists on Gaviota Avenue, which is practically ready. These units will have a decal that identifies them as such.

At this meeting were Giancarlo Parolari, manager of Tours Playa Sol and Alonso Gárate Manjarrez, manager of Tropical Tours.
