The New Normal operation continues firm and is reinforced every weekend to prevent tourists and locals from walking without face masks and abiding by health protocols, reported the Civil Protection coordinator in Mazatlán

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- With the new provision, Civil Protection will ask tourists for the vaccination certificate in the sanitary filters installed south of Mazatlán, but only for those visitors from the states where the first anti-COVID dose has already been applied, he declared. Eloy Ruiz Gastélum.

If a tourist with a fever or symptoms of the SARS-COV-2 virus is detected, they are referred to the Sanitary Jurisdiction and access to the city is prohibited because it is a risk to the health of “locals and foreigners,” said the PC coordinator in the municipality.

“The sanitation that is being done in the city entrance filter, south entrance has worked very well because we have an average of 320 to 340 units that circulate through that space per hour; and the hours of operation are from 10:00 to 18:00 hours as such ”.

Are you supervising that people bring their vaccination certificates in the tourist buses?

“It is a point that will be added to the activities in this sanitary filter,” he said.

The official said that the Nueva Normalidad operation continues firm and is reinforced every weekend to prevent tourists and locals from walking without face masks and adhering to health protocols and thus reducing the risks of COVID-19
