The municipal government reiterated the call to citizens not to lower their guard against COVID-19, reinforcing preventive measures such as the proper use of face masks, antibacterial gel, hand washing, applying a healthy distance, and avoiding crowds.

Cristian Castillo López, in charge of Protocols and Health at the Mazatlán City Council, recalled that from this day on, the certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 will be mandatory to enter the establishments in the port.

The municipal official explained that this Monday the port woke up with 403 active cases and added that, although in the last two days after five days of going down, there have been increases in infections, these have not been excessive.

He commented that the municipality remains in the red color of the state epidemiological traffic light and continues in the third position at the state level after Culiacán and Ahome, which this day respectively.
