Although he recognized that the popular consultation to prosecute former officials who broke the law in past governments is a democratic activity, the governor of Sinaloa, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, will not participate.
The president pointed out that although it is an exercise in citizen expression, the participation of the people is not mandatory.
-They are exercises for consulting people, the exercises are fine, but everyone decides if they are going to participate.

Ordaz Coppel explained that to carry out this electoral process, it will not be necessary to establish the Dry Law in the state, as commonly happens on popular election days.
“No, there does not have to be a dry law,” he stressed.
He asserted that the budget earmarked for this vote could have been better used in the area of health, as he highlighted the pandemic continues to ravage.
Given that, he pointed out, he will request from President Andrés Manuel López Obrador the equipment of state hospitals, as well as new doses of vaccines for the immunization of Sinaloans.
