This measure seeks to reduce the cases of covid-19

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, announced that as of August 2, the day on which the vaccination day for people between 18 and 29 years old ends, no one will be able to access public areas if they do not have the vaccination record.

This was said in an interview when he arrived at the Mazatlán City Hall.

Benítez Torres assured that this measure seeks to reduce the cases of covid-19.

“As of Monday, August 2, no citizen will be able to enter a public place if he does not bring his vaccination card and thus we force and encourage young people to get vaccinated,” he said.

He also said that they are supporting themselves with employers to take their workers to be vaccinated.

He added that the measure of the strict use of mouth covers to walk on the street is maintained and invited all those who have not been vaccinated to do so and not miss the opportunity.

“Who has not applied the vaccine, because you already confirm that the vaccine works whatever brand it is, that it is notified of the dates on which the laggards are vaccinated again, that they do not miss the opportunity,” he added.

Benítez Torres is confident that the application of the vaccine will be the beginning of the end of this pandemic, at least in the port of Mazatlán.
