Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Since the beginning of July, hundreds of Mazatlecos have used social networks to publicly denounce massive blackouts in multiple colonies of the port, leaving the inhabitants upset and uncertain since so far they have not given an explanation.

Affected people have stated that although direct reports are made to the Federal Electricity Commission, the problems do not stop repeating themselves, sometimes up to twice a week, interrupting daily activities.

According to neighbors, blackouts are more constant at night, around 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., leaving entire colonies without light for up to ten minutes, which has generated fear of exposure to lovers of others.

The most affected neighborhoods have been Morelos, Villa Galaxia, Jaripillo, Alarcón, Sánchez Celis, Allende, Infonavit Playas subdivision, Jacarandas, among others. It should be noted that so far the authorities have not commented on the matter and have not explained why these intermittent blackouts are due.
