Tourism continues to arrive at the port despite Sinaloa being at a red light

Between one thousand and one thousand 200 passengers move daily from Mazatlán to Durango, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Mexico City, and vice versa

Mazatlán, Sin.- With 170 runs and moving about 1,200 passengers, the federal transportation service is maintained at the Central Bus Station of Mazatlán, better known as ” Central Vieja “.

Álvaro Peña Torres, the general manager, pointed out that there are times when the influx of passengers is calm and they rise during peak hours.

Durango, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Culiacán, and Tijuana are the most requested destinations and are also the states and cities from where most tourists arrive at the port by this means of transport.

He added that only three companies continue to provide the service and added that the allowed capacity of the units is 70 percent of their capacity. However, they are leaving with 50 to 60 percent.

At the time of boarding, users must wear their mouth covers, likewise, when entering the facilities their temperature is taken and antibacterial gel is applied.

In addition, a permanent operation is maintained by Roads and Transportation and the Ministry of Communications and Transportation, reinforcing the sanitation of the units and facilities.

Regarding the health measures that have been implemented are the use of face masks, antibacterial gel, and taking the temperature when entering the bus station. While, once on board the bus, the passengers must wear their masks and the operators in the same way.

Álvaro Torres commented that the transport companies sanitize their units on each trip, as well as the cleaning staff, sanitize the bus station every day in the morning.

On the other hand, he expressed that they are in a recovery stage due to the decrease in trips last year, so they hope that the arrival of people to Mazatlan will not decrease because we are at a red traffic light.
