The arrival of cruise ships to Mazatlan in August confirmed despite increases in covid

The arrival of the ship is still on schedule, which since March of last year had stopped arriving in Mazatlán due to the situation of the coronavirus pandemic.

Sinaloa.- Despite the Covid-19 pandemic situation in the municipality of Mazatlán, the arrival of the first tourist cruise in the midst of the health contingency in the port remains firm for August 24, said Luis Terán Tirado, Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism, and Fisheries.

The municipal official indicated the arrival of the ship was still scheduled, which since March of last year had stopped arriving in Mazatlán due to the situation of the coronavirus pandemic.

He said that they do not know what protocols are implemented by the tribulation of the tourist boat, whose travelers will descend to the port to visit and enjoy its attractions, such as the boardwalk, the beaches, and the historic center.

Terán Tirado clarified that in the port there is no need to request proof that tourists do not have the Covid-19 disease, since to get on the ship and travel they have to present the document that guarantees that they do not suffer from the disease.

“Mazatlán is waiting for them with open arms, but the covid protocols are decided by them that they must follow.”

He clarified that the cruise ship does not transport minors, it is only adults who decided to travel to Mazatlán.
