Authorities of the three levels of government hold an ordinary session of the State Health Council to establish actions and measures to control the increase in cases of COVID – 19

Culiacán, Sinaloa. – During the Twenty-Sixth Extraordinary Session held by the State Council of Public Health, authorities of the three levels of Government and the Public Health Sector, determined actions and measures so that in joint work, the increase in cases that are have recorded the last weeks in our entity.

In the virtual meeting, it was reported that the state government is already taking actions aimed at having everything necessary to care for patients who require it, such as hospital reconversion.

Dr. Efrén Encinas Torres, Secretary of Health, explained that it is already the logo to convert beds in Culiacán hospitals, which is where there is the highest number of infections, counting up to the monument 50 more beds in the General Hospital of Culiacán, 30 more in the Regional Hospital of the ISSSTE as well as the opening again of the New General Hospital that will initially have 30 beds available.

During the meeting, it was possible to establish that from this moment all preventive and sanitary actions in the different Sectors would be reinforced: always in coordination with Municipal Presidents in addition to supervision by Coepris and Civil Protection.

In addition, entry to minors under 12 years of age will be limited in areas with greater influx, from all sectors, there will be greater control of access to capacity in clubs, bars, gyms, various centers, public transport, etc. clarifying that 30% to 50% will be allowed depending on the item and always decided by the municipal authority, as they are the ones who are clearer about the needs of their demarcation.

These actions will also be reinforced throughout the business, social and religious sector, there will also be greater dissemination of the sanitary measures already established through the area of ​​Prevention and Health Promotion and the media. Those present in the committee left as an agreement that, for the specific strategy of the closure of spaces and activities, decisions will be made by each municipality depending on their needs, taking into account the degree of contagion and the socio-demographic they live.

“I am sure that we can all achieve to minimize the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sinaloans have been winners many times and we are in the first places, I believe that here we can also be in first place in a short time and be able to mitigate in help together and in synergy this impact of the pandemic ”, he said.

Finally, the Secretary of Health of Sinaloa, Dr. Efrén Encinas Torres, reported that the vaccination strategy will continue throughout the state, seeking in the coming days to vaccinate the population over 18 years of age in the municipalities of Culiacán and Mazatlán, in order to provide protection to the now most vulnerable population, the youth.
