Personnel from the Ministry of Health and Coepriss carried out surveillance and inspection operations in restaurants, discos, bars, and nightclubs.

Given the reinforcement of prevention actions against Covid-19, in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, four establishments were sanctioned during a verification operation with drones in tourist and entertainment sites for failing to comply with the protocols.

The surveillance and inspection operations in restaurants, discotheques, bars, and nightclubs were carried out by staff from the Ministry of Health and Coepriss, to ensure that the allowed capacity is met, and to sanction or implement the measures that are necessary to take, reported the Municipal Civil Protection Coordinator, Eloy Ruiz Gastélum.

During the week, with the use of four drones, in a first stage, awareness actions on health protocols and prevention were reinforced, monitoring the areas with the highest influx in four points of the tourist strip and from Thursday to Sunday they operate from 6 in the afternoon at 10 at night.

In addition, from the flight of the drones, messages of healthy distance and the use of face masks are being issued in all those areas where there is an agglomeration of people or where they are tourist attractions and be alert to any emergency or contingency, explained Ruíz Gastélum.

He specified that the objective is to verify the allowed capacity in these establishments, and verify that all people are complying with the guidelines and sanitary protocols.

Ruíz Gastélum warned that they will continue to carry out this type of review, with a firm hand, so that the employer commits himself and that all people who go out have fun, have the certainty that in these types of places, compliance with health protocols is guaranteed.
