The commander of the Aquatic Squad emphasized that it is not a total closure, it is only called preventive so that bathers respect the color of the flag that is in the area to visit and when entering the sea, they do not exceed after where the wave bursts.
The head of the lifeguards, stressed that during the course of the week they will monitor the new storm that is forming in the south of the Pacific.
“We restrict entry after the waves, but they can walk on the beach wetting their feet with the water on their waists, where we have red flags we are definitely restricting entry to the sea area, they are measures that we have been all over since Saturday”, he emphasized
Gonzalo Magallanes called on bathers to abide by the instructions of the lifeguard of the area they visit, the purpose of this is to avoid unfortunate situations such as those that occurred at the weekend, where two people lost their lives, he also said that going to remote areas is makes it difficult for elements that neglect a sector to move to provide support.
“There were a lot of people in the beach area, emergencies were triggered in a period of two hours, we had care, we had rescues and we had complications in some areas that were quite far away and we had to move people,” he added.
Another of the Aquatics commander’s instructions is to avoid entering with inappropriate clothing, while intoxicated or after consuming food, these factors can complicate the bather’s reaction.
