Although massive events were to be suspended, the opposite decision was finally made, going against the federal government order.

Sinaloa.- June has been the month in which Sinaloa has taken a step back in the effectiveness of health protocols, going from the green epidemiological traffic light to yellow, with a greater risk of coronavirus infections in the federative entity.

For a few weeks, the health authorities presumed how contagions and deaths due to Covid-19 had decreased in the state, which allowed the establishments and Community Learning Centers (CCA) to receive a greater number of people.

However, although it has not yet been officially confirmed that the increase that is registered is a collateral effect of political campaigns, the citizens themselves have said that this is a reflection that is just beginning to be observed.

In that sense, the expectation that the Sinaloan population has is that in the next two weeks, the rebound in cases will be more significant, while the health authorities are waiting to see the results.

The Secretary of Health, Efrén Encinas Torres, has declared that since the beginning of the electoral process there was a risk of an increase in infections due to meetings of politicians with a large number of people, as has happened in other states and countries and where Sinaloa was not going to be the exception.

Now that Sinaloa has remained in the yellow color and Culiacán in red according to the state panorama, with 114 cases, the Ministry of Health has reinforced epidemiological surveillance and although massive events were to be suspended, the opposite decision was finally made, going against the federal government order.

In the daily state health reports, it is analyzed that June began with 44 new infections, a range that has remained from 37 to 58 new daily cases; while in deaths registered on the platform it has fluctuated between three and 11 deaths.
