Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Starting at 8:00 am this Friday, the remodeling work on Gaviotas Avenue will begin, so this road will be closed to vehicular traffic, said Juan Ramón Alfaro Gaxiola, Secretary of Public Safety and Municipal Traffic.

He commented that authorities, constructions and merchants of this avenue met to agree on the closure of the work.

The head of the SSPyTM asked motorists to use alternate roads and citizens to be patient with the reconstruction and modernization that will give a better face to this important road in the tourist area.

“Citizens are notified that the work will start tomorrow, because a lot of urban buses circulate through this area, a lot of aurigas, a lot of pulmonias; then so that they take the alternative routes ”.

Representatives of businesses in the area felt taken into account and supported the work to start and finish as soon as possible to reactivate their businesses.

Julio Silva, the representative of the merchants, said that despite the times of pandemic, they are recovering with these times of vaccines, so they support the cause of the work.

“We know that it is a work that has to be carried out either today or tomorrow, and among all the merchants we decided to support the State Government and thank the Municipality of Mazatlán.”
