Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- For three months the inhabitants of the Ferrocarrilera neighborhood, joined to watch over the area where they live because robberies were increasing.
To “scare away” the thieves, they put up posters outside their homes where you can read “Neighbors watching, internal alert, an association of internal neighbors in the Ferrocarrilera colony.”
These posters are all over the colony, and when talking with one of the inhabitants of the place, he pointed out that they did this because months ago the thieves broke into the houses and stole what they could and sometimes took the water pipe and that. it was a problem because the liquid was thrown away.
They also highlighted that through WhatsApp groups, they inform each other of possible suspicious people.
But they warned that if they catch a thief they are not responsible for what happens to the thief.
