Its leader stressed that these types of events are held with a double purpose: to rescue traditions and reactivate the economy in the towns
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- After the festivities of May 10 in El Verde, Concordia, with great success, René Tirado, leader of Forcados de Mazatlán announced another bullfighting festival for Father’s Day in the same place.
” The authorities and businessmen from abroad are betting on returning those traditions and giving life to this beautiful town, now they want to celebrate Father’s Day,” he announced.
In the event there will be rejoneo, jaripeo, charreada, forcados and will end with a dance enlivened by Kilo Ávalos, it will also be attended by the Fontanet Brothers.
Tirado stressed that these types of events are held with a dual purpose, to rescue traditions and reactivate the economy in the towns, since businessmen from other states are betting on Sinaloa and especially on El Verde, which is positioned in the national bullfighting arena.
“It is that here (in Mazatlán) they are allowed, but it became politicized, it is a sadness, the good thing is that it is being put as an alternative and that is good because the people of the towns are there, they love to see the horses, the Jaripeos, the bulls, we cannot deny and whoever wants to deny part of their culture is denying part of their identity, “he stressed.
The event will take place on Sunday, June 20, at the community’s Plaza de Toros from four in the afternoon to eight at night. The cost will be 350 pesos and the health protocols will be enforced.
