Culiacán, Sinaloa.- The president of the Inclusive Voting Collective, Tiago Ventura, commented that a few days after the 2021 elections take place, no candidate for governor of Sinaloa has had an approach with the Lesbian community, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer, LGBTQ.

He pointed out that they have already put forward some proposals, however, they have not been sought for a specific meeting with the candidates, nor have their proposals included in their government platforms.

“With no candidate for governor there has been rapprochement, speaking there have been proposals that have not been carried out, they have been postponed, we have sought them to present these proposals that we have but there is no concrete meeting,” he said.

The activist reiterated that they still have time to take them into account and consider their proposals, for which he called on all candidates to take them into account and that the churches respect the secular state.

“None of these proposals that we have sent them have been included in their government platforms, and as they are topics considered taboo they evade them, if there is an intervention because they fear a repression of religious will have an electoral cost,” he added.
