Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- You probably spent moments that marked your childhood in this place, perhaps it was your children who played on the slides of the McDonald’s in Insurgentes. Well now, this has become a home for the homeless.

With the naked eye you can see broken glass and graffiti on the walls, but if you take a look inside the smell is almost unbearable; Garbage, rotten food, and even human feces have been taken in place of the tables and children’s games that used to be in this place.

It was in September 2020 when, due to the pandemic, the grills of this fast-food restaurant were “turned off” forever, the letter M was removed, and with it the memories of Mazatlan children who played and ate French fries.

Now, in the surroundings of this abandoned premises, insecurity is felt, waiting for the bus at one of the stops next to this McDonald’s is scary and even more so if it is at night.

What will happen to this place that for now is nothing more than a garbage dump? For now the question is uncertain.
