The general manager of Jumapam, Engineer Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez, stressed that this second stage is planned to develop more quickly, so he recommends drivers to take the necessary precautions when changing the direction of road traffic.
“We had a very fruitful meeting with the parties involved: Transit, construction companies and Jumapam’s general management, construction and operations; We already started on Monday, May 10, at five in the morning, it is a very important work for Mazatlán that no one wanted to do before, because it is modernized in all aspects, pipes that were 70 years old will be renewed, not just the paving, but rather to place the entire new plumbing network and to work better the circulation will have to be modified ” , he explained.
In this regard, the Municipal Traffic Deputy Inspector, Jesús Antonio Estrada Díaz, stated that as of Tuesday, at 5:00 in the morning, the entrance lane to the city (from north to south) will be closed to traffic, while the exit lane will be enabled in one direction only for road entry, from the Café Marino to the Fire Station; while for the exit of the city the avenues Gutiérrez Nájera, Juan Carrasco and the Mexican Army are proposed as alternate routes, as well as Juan Pablo II and Santa Rosa.
“The circulation that comes from north to south is going to be a single direction, through the lane that leaves the city, a reverse direction is enabled for the duration of the works, and the traffic that comes out of the center leaves to divert in Josefa Ortiz, so that it takes the Gutiérrez Nájera and the alternate route will be the Mexican Army ”, specified the Municipal Transit chief.
For their part, the construction companies that collaborate in the execution of this second stage of the project expressed their commitment to work in extended hours and through several fronts, since it implies a more traveled section than the first and due to the proximity of the rains, which they are a factor that can hinder progress.
