Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Mayor José Manuel Villalobos, the federal Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués, and Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel, inaugurated the remodeling work of the Mazatlán Observatory 1873, located on the slopes of Cerro del Vigía .

The authorities, accompanied by local businessman, made a guided tour of the place, under strict sanitary measures.

The Mazatlán 1873 Observatory has become a tourist park with botany, unparalleled landscapes, recreation, but above all with a lot of history.

The enclosure offers a stop at the vineyard station, where visitors can learn about the mezcal process, in addition to the restaurant bar on the heights, where there are monocular telescopes from which part of the attractions of the port can be observed.

Only eight to 12 people can get on the funicular, who together will tour the place for 50 minutes

At the top of Cerro del Vigía there is an old-looking little house, but the only way a foreigner can access it is through a funicular.
